Liability Waiver & Policies
1. Fur and Feather Works, LLC will endeavor to create as safe an environment as possible for the training of my dog and will endeavor to offer only sound, safe, and responsible training and training instructions. However, I recognize that Fur and Feather Works, LLC is not responsible for any unintentional errors, omissions, or incorrect assertions. I understand that the recommendation of any other product or service is not a guarantee of my satisfaction with that product or service. Further, I am and will remain responsible for the actions of my dog at all times. I hereby agree to abide by the rules and policies of Fur and Feather Works, LLC training classes as set forth in this contract. I understand that attendance at dog training classes is not without risk to me, members of my family, guests who may attend, or to my dog; including exposure to canine influenza and other canine illnesses. In consideration of, and as inducement to the acceptance of my application for training membership in this training class, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fur and Feather Works, LLC, its officers, directors, instructors, agents, employees and/or representatives of any and all claims, or claims by any member of my family, or accompanying guests of mine of injury, expense, costs or damages to myself, my dog or any handler sponsored by me both in class and out of class. In addition, I agree that I will defend and indemnify Fur and Feather Works, LLC for any injury, expense, costs or damages to any dog handlers or dogs, whether sponsored by me or not, or to third parties arising out of my own actions or the actions of my dog. I have read the above-stated provisions, and agree to accept those responsibilities.

2. I warrant and represent that I will remain aware of and abide by local law and public guidance on reducing COVID19 exposure, and will follow best practices in relation to Fur and Feather Works, LLC’s services.

3. Payment Policy: Payment in full is due at the time of registration. If payment has not been received before class starts, your spot will be given to the next person in line on the waiting list. Exceptions will only be made upon Fur and Feather Works, LLC’s pre-approval.

4. Because we are dedicated to maintaining small classes with plenty of one-on-one interaction, we cannot allow cancellations within one week of the start of class. Cancellations less than one week before the start of class, noshows, missed classes, and class cancellations after this deadline will not be refunded or credited toward future classes. We appreciate your cooperation to help keep our classes small and effective for you.

5. I understand that Fur and Feather Works, LLC reserves the right to transfer in-person dog training services to online training services when deemed necessary by Fur and Feather Works, LLC for purposes of compliance with government regulations or considerations of client, trainer, or staff safety. I understand that changes in service in consideration of staff, trainer, or client safety are not grounds for cancellation, and that Fur and Feather Works, LLC reserves the right to change the mode of service delivery (for example, from in-person to online) as deemed necessary and responsible by Fur and Feather Works, LLC.

6. Class Rules:

We value the safety of everyone and will work with you to do our best by your dog. Complete honesty regarding your dog’s behavior is absolutely mandatory. You must make your instructor aware if your dog has aggressed toward humans, dogs, or other animals, including any bites and the severity of those bites.
We love children to attend class, but any person under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present. You are responsible for the safety and behavior of your child. Kids: you might want to bring something quiet to do (video game, coloring book?) during the grown-ups-only parts of class.
No metal or chain collars or leashes, no shock or electronic collars, and no slip leads are permitted. (Martingale, or limited-slip, collars are fine upon instructor’s approval). No retractable (or “Flexi”) leashes are permitted. If you have any questions about equipment, please ask.
